Cattle feeding in a livestock facility

LOCALISED FOR UGANDA

Start with the herd, ration and working day.

Systems are planned around species, head count, production target, forage, labour, power, water, connectivity, service access and growth plans.

01

Feed preparation

Agacli vertical feed mixers for more consistent total mixed ration preparation and delivery.

02

Feed management

Topcon weighing and feed-management tools support repeatable loading, ration accuracy and reporting.

03

Animal identity

Tags and animal-level records create the foundation for movement, health and performance management.

04

Tracking & alerts

FarmSphere-connected data supports visibility over activity, location and management events where configured.

05

Performance records

Connect weights, reproduction, health and production events to practical management decisions.

06

Milking & cooling

Melasty portable milking machines and stainless-steel cooling tanks create an accessible pathway from hand milking to a controlled dairy workflow.

Agacli vertical feed mixer

AGACLI VERTICAL MIXERS

Build the feeding workflow around the ration.

Capacity alone does not select a mixer. Terra Agri considers batch sizes, ingredient structure, loading method, tractor power, access, discharge side, feed alleys and daily hours before proposing a configuration.

MELASTY SMALL-FARM DAIRY SYSTEMS

Move from hand milking to a controlled milk path.

Portable milking and compact cooling equipment can improve consistency, hygiene and labour efficiency without requiring a full milking parlour. Selection starts with animals milked per session, daily litres, power reliability, clean-water access and the milk-collection interval.

PRACTICAL SETUP FOR UGANDA

Size the system around the collection day.

The cooling tank should hold the peak milk volume waiting for collection—not only one average milking. Terra Agri can also plan food-grade buckets, clean-water and wash routines, power backup, critical spares and operator training. Melasty advises washing liners after every milking and replacing them after six months, 750 operating hours or 2,500 milkings, whichever threshold is reached first.

Brochure figures describe the listed configurations. Final bucket material, liner, pump, power source, tank capacity and electrical protection are confirmed for each farm.

Cattle with animal identification technology

Identify · record · respond

Animal-level identification and consistent event records help teams intervene earlier and manage growing herds with more structure.

Modern dairy milking facility

A pathway from smallholder to enterprise

Start with reliable portable milking, cooling and cleaning routines, then expand into fixed parlours, milk transfer, automated washing, identification and production reporting as the herd grows.
